Warm-Up - Huff remains in control
Best time for the Bristish driver
Rob Huff continued to lead the way in Macau as this morning’s 15-minute warm-up ran without any major incident. Topping every session except Q1, Huff posted a 2:31.744 to finish 0.8 seconds faster than SEAT driver Tiago Monteiro (2:32.574) ahead of today’s 2010 WTCC finale on Macau’s Guia Circuit.
The session ran uninterrupted although Franz Engstler stopped and rejoined early on at the Mandarin Oriental Bend. Rob Huff also ended the session on track, stopping at the Melco Hairpin after the chequered flag with a puncture. Gabriele Tarquini pitted with possible engine problems so only posted the 25th quickest time, 15-seconds off the pace. Fredy Barth didn’t complete a flying lap to save his tyres for today’s races while Kevin Chen had set up problems in his BMW 320si.
Rookie Norbert Michelisz (2:33.087) continued his good form finishing third fastest, while Darryl O’Young (2:35.061) remained best of the independents in 11th.
