Zengö Dension Team’s Norbert Michelisz was given a 5-position grid penalty for Sunday’s Race 1 as he was reported to have ignored the red light at the weighing bay during Friday’s Q1.
The Hungarian youngster who has qualified in 2nd position in today’s Q2 will be therefore demoted to 7th spot of the grid.
The same penalty was also imposed to Wiechers-Sport’s Mehdi Bennani and Proteam Motorsport’s Kevin Chen who were found guilty of having improved their laps times twice under yellow flags yesterday; Bennani during Q1 and Chen during the second free practice. Both drivers were also fined 3,000 euros. They will be demoted from 17th to 23rd and from 21st to 26th respectively.
