Tom Kimber-Smith signs with Greaves Motorsport for Le Mans
"I’m delighted to be back at Le Mans"
Greaves Motorsport is pleased to announce Tom Kimber-Smith as its third driver ahead of the forthcoming official Le Mans Test Day. He joins team mates Karim Ojjeh and Gary Chalandon to reunite the successful team that took class honours in LM P2, and a fantastic third overall, at the Six Hours of Le Castellet, the opening round of the 2011 Le Mans Series.
Tom originally had other commitments but following on from the success in France he has managed to rearrange his diary. Tom is naturally excited at the prospect of returning to La Sarthe for Le Vingt-Quatre Heures du Mans, having been a class winner in LM GT2 in 2006. "I’m delighted to be back at Le Mans with such a professional team as GreavesMotorsport and especially with the Zytek-Nissan that has a genuine chance of success."
Team Principal, Tim Greaves, is delighted to be able to keep Tom in the car. “There was a lot of interest in the seat and it was always going to be difficult to choose. Tom has made this easy for me.”
