This is the car that Honda Racing hopes will bring it more FIA World Touring Car Championship glory in 2016 and end Citroën’s recent dominance in the process.
The 2016-specification Civic was put through its paces at Jerez in Spain earlier this month by Honda’s new driver line-up of Rob Huff, Norbert Michelisz and Tiago Monteiro.
And the JAS Motorsport-run squad will be back in action in Spain next month during a test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.
Honda celebrated three WTCC race wins in 2015 with Monteiro victorious twice and Micheliesz taking a single triumph. The Japanese make last won the WTCC Manufacturers’ award in 2013. Citroën has won the last two titles.
