Sitting comfortably and ready for WTCC 2016 time for Huff
"The Honda filled me with confidence"
Former WTCC champion Rob Huff has had his first taste of the Honda Civic he’ll race in this year’s FIA World Touring Car Championship and returned to his native UK from testing in Spain and happy man.
Huff, who claimed the WTCC crown in 2012, has joined Honda Racing for 2016 following two seasons with the factory LADA squad, where he scored a brace of wins and a handful of podiums for the Russian make.
The WTCC’s most experienced driver linked up with new team-mates Norbert Michelisz and Tiago Monteiro during test at Jerez in Spain earlier this month when he sampled his new car for the first time.
Huff, 36, said: “The Honda filled me with confidence and you can feel the experience and the wealth of knowledge that [technical partner] JAS and Honda have got in motorsport and that’s been put into the car, which works as you’d expect it to work. It made me very excited and fills me with confidence for the coming season.”
