Leclerc’s brother eyes F1 test debut
"That’s not in my plans at the moment"
Charles Leclerc’s brother is hoping to make his F1 test debut in 2019.
Last year, Charles Leclerc made his F1 race debut for Sauber and in 2019 was promoted to Ferrari.
Now, Charles’ 18-year-old brother has been signed up by Sauber’s junior programme, and will race in the German Formula 4 category.
Arthur Leclerc said he is proud of his older brother, who gives him advice.
"The most important one was to stay calm all the time, which wasn’t natural for me," he told tuttomotoriweb.com.
As for Charles’ season for Ferrari, Arthur said: "It’s a bit early to talk about the championship, because there are still a lot of races to go."
Finally, Arthur Leclerc admitted he is hoping to soon follow in his big brother’s footsteps by making his F1 test debut for Alfa Romeo.
"We will see, that’s not in my plans at the moment," he said. "I hope so, but my main focus is on Formula 4."
