The Volvo is transparent in China
It will not be eligible to score points
Volvo Polestar Racing’s Thed Björk, who will join the WTCC for the next event at Shanghai, will not be eligible to score points in the Drivers’ Championship.
In fact, his Volvo C30 Drive car has been accepted by the Touring Car Committee according to article 10 b) of the Sporting Regulations and on the basis of the homologation papers issued by Sweden’s National Sporting Authority SBF.
The relevant article regulates the participation of cars complying with the technical regulations of national championships, preventing them to score points and imposing a 20-kilo ballast.
This means that Björk and his Volvo will be transparent during the whole event as far as points are concerned and they will not be eligible to take part in the Q2 Qualifying as per art. 118.
