Same weight for Chevrolet, BMW and Sunred
The Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T is the reference model
In the calculation of the compensation weight for the event in Brno, it was decided not to take into account the lap times clocked during the second race at Budapest that was affected by changeable weather and track conditions.
The calculation based on the lap times set in the three previous events (Belgium, Italy and Hungary) identified the Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T as the reference model and allocated 40 extra kilos to the five cars ran by Chevrolet-RML and bamboo-engineering.
The BMW 320 TC (that was only 0.3 seconds slower than the Cruze) and the SUNRED SR León 1.6T (as per art art. 79 B2) will also receive the maximum compensation weight.
The SEAT León TDi will receive 20 extra kilos, while the Volvo C30 and BMW 320si will benefit from a 20-kg reduction of their minimum weights. However the Volvo will also receive 40 extra kilos, should the team switch to the turbo engine.
