Peugeot unveil 2010 programme

Peugeot has today revealed its sports car programme that will take in selected rounds of the ALMS, LMS and Asian LMS championships as well as the classic Le Mans 24 hour race.

The French car-maker will compete in the American Le Mans series at Sebring on March 18-20 before returning to Europe and taking parts in the Le Mans Series race at Spa Francorchamps on May 7-9. The Le Mans 24 hour race follows June 6-13 in which the team will field three 908 HDi FAPs.

From there, the team will compete in the LMS Silverstone round September 10-12 before taking in the Asian LMS event at Shanghai on November 12-14. Petit Le Mans remains an option for the team.

11 drivers have been chosen to fly the Peugeot flag at Le Mans, running with race numbers 1, 2 and 3.

#1 Marc Gene, Alex Wurz and Anthony Davidson.

#2 Nicolas Minassian, Franck Montagny and Stephane Sarrazin.

#3 Sebastien Bourdais, Simon Pagenaud and Pedro Lamy.

Christian Klien will be the teams reserve driver while Spider Cup champion Gregory Guilvert takes the test role.

Sebastien Loeb had been linked with a return with Peugeot, but his world rally championship commitments this year with Citroen are taking a priority the Frenchman has revealed.

The team confirmed that Davidson, Gene and Wurz will compete in the #7 entry at Sebring, with Bourdais, Lamy and Minassian in the #8 car.
