Engine problems for Robert Dahlgren
The Swedish car will be dropped ten positions on the starting grid
The Volvo C30 of Robert Dahlgren didn’t make it out for this morning’s warm up as the Volvo Olsbergs Green Racing worked to change the engine.
“This was totally unexpected as everything was working very well until this morning,” team manager Christian Dahl commented.
The Swedish car will be dropped ten positions on the starting grid for Race 1, from 14th to 24th.
Chevrolet’s Alain Menu (1:38.649) was quickest in the 15-minute warm up. Tiago Monteiro (1:38.707) and Tom Coronel (1:38.911) were second and third respectively in their SEAT León TDIs. Norbert Michelisz (1:39.022) remained the best rookie in fifth while Darryl O’Young (1:39.541) topped the independents in ninth.
Despite Augusto Farfus and Andy Priaulx only posting the 10th and 14th fastest times, the BMW Team RBM driver pairing are still looking strong for today’s races. However, Augusto Farfus had to return for repairs after hitting a slower car in the early stages.
