The battle for victory on the FxPro Cyprus Rally, the 12th and final round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, continues to intensify after Nasser Al-Attiyah’s margin at the top of the leaderboard was cut to 3.4s.
Martin Prokop was 3.3s faster than fellow Fiesta driver Al-Attiyah through the 27.10-kilometre Lythrodontas test.
While Prokop, who has secured a supply of hard-compound tyres from countryman Roman Kresta, reported no problems on the test, Al-Attiyah was handed a 10-second time penalty for a reported jump start.
Bryan Bouffier further underlined his star quality by going quickest on this stage in his Peugeot 207.
Daniel Oliviera dropped out of eighth place with a puncture.
