Weight reduction for BMW and Sunred
The Chevrolet Cruze remains the reference

The Chevrolet Cruze and the Volvo C30 will be the heaviest cars in the next WTCC event at Porto, both will be laden by 40 extra kilos according to the calculation of the compensation weight based on the lap times set in the three previous events (Italy, Hungary and Czech Republic).
The Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T remains the reference model, while the Volvo keeps on with the maximum weight due to the introduction of the new 1.6-litre turbo engine in the previous event.
The BMW 320 TC cars that ran in Brno on the maximum weight, will be 10kg lighter than the Chevrolet and Volvo.
Having competed in Budapest and Brno on the maximum weight, the SUNRED SR León 1.6T cars can now benefit from the application of the compensation weight system and will benefit from a 20-kg reduction of the minimum weight, just like the SEAT León TDi.
