Weather forces to cancel WTCC test in Marrakech
A revised timetable will be distributed as soon as possible
Torrential rain in Marrakech forced the organisers of the WTCC Race of Morocco to cancel all track activities that were planned to happen today at the Circuit Moulay el Hassan.
WTCC cars remained in their garages while a series of rainstorms hit the region, flooding the racetrack and the paddock under several centimetres of water.
The 30-minute test session that was due to take place this afternoon from 14.00 to 14.30 local time was cancelled, and so were all the sessions of the support series: Auto GP, Clio Cup and FRMSA.
Weather forecast for the rest of the weekend predicts sunshine and warm temperatures, meaning that track activities should be no longer affected.
A revised timetable will be distributed as soon as possible, however, the WTCC test will not be rescheduled and competitors will start running in the first free practice session.
