Chevrolet will enter a fourth RML-run Chevrolet Cruze in the WTCC Round of Belgium, to take place in Zolder on 19-20 June, and entrust it to local hero Vincent Radermecker.

Vincent Radermecker is not new to Chevrolet. The 42-year old expert touring car and GT driver from Liège drove in 2006 a Maurer Motorsport Chevrolet Lacetti, winning the ADAC Procar Championship in Germany and competing in two rounds of the WTCC. Vincent was also a Belgian touring car champion in 2005 and a French Supertouring Car vice-champion in 2002. He came to touring cars and GTs after a successful spell in F3 and Formula Opel.

Vincent Radermecker: I am really very happy of this opportunity to be back in the WTCC and behind the wheel of a Chevrolet, in ideal conditions and in my own country. I am conscious that the level of professionalism and competitiveness in the series is tremendously high, but I hope that my excellent knowledge of the track will be a plus and I am confident that I can do well and help the Chevrolet team achieving a successful racing event in Belgium. Next weekend I will be in Monza to work with the team and the drivers, then I will participate in the shake-down at MIRA ahead of the Zolder race, which will allow me to familiarize with the Cruze.

Wilfried Liekens (General Manager Chevrolet Belgium): It is really great news to have a fourth Cruze and a Belgian driver at the Zolder round of the WTCC and I am particularly happy and proud that a talented and expert driver as Vincent, whom we know since many years, has been selected to drive it. He will be a perfect ambassador for our brand at this exciting event, where we will have 500 guests from the Belgian and Dutch dealers network.

Eric Nève: It is a great satisfaction for us to be able to have a fourth Cruze in Zolder as well and to entrust it to Vincent, who has proven his ability in many series over the years and was the first driver to win a touring car championship in Europe with a Chevrolet. Belgium is not only a key market for our brand, it is also a country with a long touring car tradition and ideally placed at the center of Western Europe, so we expect a lot of fans in Zolder and very lively racing event!
