Tiago Monteiro undertakes productive testing
"We have data for comparison"
Tiago Monteiro and Honda are continuing their hard work preparing for the remainder of the 2014 FIA World Touring Car Championship as well as the upcoming 2015 season. This week the Portuguese driver was in Hungary and Slovakia, where he took part in two sessions of grueling testing on the Honda Civic, both of which proved productive.
Taking place on two tracks that host a round of the WTCC, the information gathered proved to be even more important:
"We have data for comparison and it is easier to evaluate what we are doing with the track work, mainly updates on the chassis and components but also some evolutions on the engine. It is still too early to assess these improvements, but we know that there is a wide range for evolution. Doing these tests during a break in the championship is important so we don’t lose our competitive edge," explained Tiago Monteiro.
The Portuguese driver is already on his way to Beijing in China where the next round of the WTCC will be hosted on the 4th of October.
