Thed Björk is ready for more WTCC action

The short summer break has given Thed Björk a new lease of life as he continues his maiden FIA World Touring Car Championship campaign in Argentina this weekend.

Björk forms part of the two-strong Polestar Cyan Racing line-up in this year’s WTCC and has impressed with his pace in what is a development season for the Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 racers.

“I’m stronger than ever with full batteries,” he said. “To be new in the championship with the team it’s been a very hectic start with many races close together at the start of the season. The team has put in a lot of work, all the mechanics, everybody and it’s good to have some rest in the summer months. We’re all recharged and ready to go in the second half of the season. We’re working hard to try to be faster, try to get podiums and maybe a win in the second half of the season.”

Björk will make his first appearance at Termas de Río Hondo this weekend P12 in the standings. He’s pictured learning a traditional Argentine dance in the country’s oldest city, Santiago del Estero, yesterday.
