Tempestini plans final-day attack in IRC Production Cup

Marco Tempestini is planning to up his pace on the final day of Targa Florio-Rally Internazionale Di Sicilia as he looks to close the gap to the IRC Production Cup leaders.

The Romanian ace is currently third in the category in his Subaru Impreza R4 STI. He said: “We want to win as many stage as possible. We will try to attack right from the beginning. Massimiliano Rendina and Robert Consani are very fast and this is our only chance. We have to go fast. This is our only chance to get more points in this event.”

Tempestini already has one stage victory to his credit following his fastest time through Thursday night’s Citta’ Di Palermo test. His only moment of concern occurred on stage four when his Impreza developed an intercooler fault, which was subsequently fixed in service in Termini Imerese.
