With crews starting in rally order on the final day of Targa Florio-Rally Internazionale Di Sicilia, Andreas Mikkelsen will head the field over the final four stages located east of Termini Imerese.

Mikkelsen, who leads the Intercontinental Rally Challenge event by 4.5s in his ŠKODA UK Motorsport Fabia Super 2000, will be followed over today’s stages by factory ŠKODA driver Jan Kopecký and Giandomenico Basso, in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta RRC run by the Italian A-Style Team.

Umberto Scandola starts fourth with six-time Targa Florio winner Paolo Andreucci fifth in a Peugeot Italia 207 Super 2000. Craig Breen starts sixth for HRT Motorsport with Matteo Gamba seventh on the road in his similar 207. Sepp Wiegand is eighth for ŠKODA Auto Deutschland with Alessandro Perico ninth and Marco Runfola in 10th.

Simone Campedelli is the highest-starting IRC 2WD Cup contender in 12th with Massimiliano Rendina the leading IRC Production Cup runner in 14th.

In total 35 crews will restart on the final day in Sicily with the opening stage, the 18.00-kilometre Cefalú run due to go live at 08:32hrs local time. Bright sunshine and high ambient temperatures will once again form the backdrop to the competitive action, which totals 68.40 kilometres.
