Tarquini and Chilton fight for second
They both have won two races
Twenty-two points is the gap between Gabriele Tarquini and Tom Chilton who are currently lying second and third in the Drivers’ Championship.
They both have won two races so far and now look forward to the fight at Macau for being sacred vice-champion behind Yvan Muller.
“Our recent victories have proved that we can win races if we start at the front. So we have to focus on this for Macau. I am confident because in Shanghai, that it was not mine, nor Honda’s favourite track, I lost only a few points of my leading gap. We know that in Macau anything may happen, but I am really optimistic because the team now is working very well and is able to make the most out of the car and engine,” Tarquini said.
And Chilton responded: “It’s gonna be very close! I really like to race on streets circuit and especially at Macau. I think that is still possible to beat Gabriele, but I’m sure he will be fighting hard and the Honda has improved a lot in the latest races.”
With 55 points at stake, also James Nash has the chance to recover and grab second place. The
young Englishman has a gap of 29 points from Tarquini.
