SS15: Rossetti regains Ypres top 10 spot
Andreas Mikkelsen has been the fastest
Andreas Mikkelsen has recorded his second fastest stage time of the GEKO Ypres Rally in his ŠKODA UK Motorsport Fabia Super 2000 as Luca Rossetti moves into the top 10 in his Abarth Grande Punto.
Norwegian Mikkelsen, 22, was 6.6s quicker than event leader Freddy Loix through the 12.33-kilometre Watou stage. Loix’s overall advantage to Bryan Bouffier is now 1m41.8s.
Fifth-fastest time for Rossetti has elevated the Italian into 10th position in his Abarth Grande Punto (pictured). Guy Wilks was sixth quickest but reported making a few mistakes in his Peugeot UK 207.
Bernd Casier elected not to start the stage due to his powersteering problems and has retired from the rally, handing fourth place to Michal Solowow in the process.
