SS13: Second stage win for Bouffier
He is now 1m41.3s behind Loix
Bryan Bouffier has claimed his second stage victory of the GEKO Ypres Rally with an impressive run on the 10.23-kilometre Kemmelberg test. The Peugeot France driver is 1m41.3s behind leader Freddy Loix in a ŠKODA Motorsport Fabia heading back to service in Ypres.
Bernd Casier has moved into third after close rival Hans Weijs suffered a spin in his privateer Fabia. “I really pushed on this stage because I wanted to show him I could also be fast,” said the Belgian.
Polish driver Michal Solowow also suffered a spin in his M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 and is now 29.8s ahead of Estonian Karl Kruuda.
Bernard Ten Brinke suffered a dramatic stage when he hit a tree on the second corner before striking a wall and then a bank after one kilometre and almost rolling when he was tipped on to two wheels. His delay means he falls behind Mark van Eldik into eighth place, 1.5s ahead of Peugeot UK driver Guy Wilks.
Andreas Mikkelsen reported losing a lot of time when he went straight on at a junction in his ŠKODA UK Fabia.
