SS10: Loix retakes Sanremo lead
Neuville, third, is now 4.4s behind
Freddy Loix has retaken the lead of Rallye Sanremo thanks to his fastest time through stage 10, the 15.47-kilometre Colle d’Oggia test.
Driving a BFO-ŠKODA Rally Team Fabia, the Belgian was 0.8s quicker than countryman Thierry Neuville and 3.8s faster than ŠKODA UK Motorsport’s Andreas Mikkelsen, who slips 2.5s behind Loix into second place in the overall classification as a result.
Neuville, in a Team Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg 207, remains in third overall but is now 4.4s off the lead. Bryan Bouffier is still in contention for victory in his Peugeot France 207 after going third quickest on the stage.
Crews are now heading back to Sanremo for a 45-minute regroup and a 30-minute service.
Stage 11, the repeat of the 20.57-kilometre Colle Langan test, gets underway at 15:16hrs local time.
