The next event of the season takes place next weekend at the Slovakia Ring, that is located 40 km East of Bratislava, the Slovak Republic’s capital city.
It is the first visit of an FIA World Championship to this modern racetrack nearly six-kilometre long that was inaugurated in 2009, which puts all the WTCC drivers on equal ground as none of them has ever raced here before.
Tomáš Vranka executive director of the Slovakia Ring commented: “We are very proud to host the WTCC, one of the few motorsport world championships. It is a great opportunity for our racetrack to be introduced to the international racing community and I am confident that Slovak fans will attend numerously.”
