Route to: Shanghai, China
The 21st and 22nd rounds
The 21st and 22nd rounds of the FIA WTCC will take place in China, at Shanghai Tianma Circuit next week.
This is the first time the FIA World Touring Car Championship pays a visit to Mainland China; the event was originally scheduled to take place at Zhaoping’s Guagdong International Circuit.
The Shanghai Tianma Circuit was inaugurated in 2004 and has already hosted several rounds of the China Touring Car and Superbike Championships. It is located in the Sheshan Songjiang district, in the Western outskirts of Shanghai.
The racetrack is 2.06-km long, meaning that the WTCC competitors will take part in two 25-lap races, the longest ever since the World Championship was revived in 2005.
