Dániel Nagy scored his maiden WTCC Trophy podium in Qatar on Friday night – and said he couldn’t have been happier.
Nagy made his debut in the FIA World Touring Car Championship’s class for independent racers at Vila Real in June and has been building his experience of his Zengő Motorsport Honda Civic since then.
But at the Losail International Circuit, the 18-year-old delivered a breakthrough performance with third place in the WTCC Trophy in P11 overall in the Opening Race in the Middle East.
“I’m so happy,” said the Hungarian. “It’s the first time I’ve been on the right pace. This is special.”
