Nash leads the Yokohama trophy
After Monza
Bamboo-engineering drivers James Nash and Alex MacDowall emerged as the leaders in the Yokohama Trophy after the first two races at Monza.
With two second places on the wet Italian track, Nash tops the standings, four points ahead of his team-mate who won the first race and also claimed a third position overall.
“This weekend has been a bit of a baptism of fire for me, Monza is a very fast circuit for my first race in a Cruze, add bad weather to that and on one hand I’m relieved to come out leading the Yokohama Independents Trophy but there is still much more to come from me, roll on Marrakech,” said Nash.
A third Chevrolet driver, Michel Nykjær in the Nika Racing Cruze, is third in trophy’s classification, one further point behind MacDowall. Fredy Barth, in the Wiechers-Sport BMW lies in fourth position.
