Muller learnt a lot while testing recently
Now, it’s racing time !
Yvan Muller says a mid-season test in Spain last month has taught him some useful lessons ahead of the latest rounds of the FIA World Touring Car Championship in Argentina from 5-7 August.
Citroën racer Muller, still chasing a win in this year’s WTCC, was testing at Circuit de Catalunya prior to the championship’s annual visit to South America this week.
“We did a test session at the Barcelona circuit to prepare for the end of the season,” said Muller, four times a winner of the WTCC crown. “We tried out different set-ups, which we have never had the chance to try out during a racing weekend. The results were interesting, and we learnt lessons that could prove useful on some circuits.”
Of his winless streak in WTCC 2016, Muller added: “I’ve never been in this position before, but I’m not too worked up about it. It will happen at some point.”
