Monza : D’Aste fastest in wet warm-up
Muller in fourth

Stefano D’Aste, driving a BMW 320 TC, set the fastest time (2:18.263) in the fifteen-minute warm-up session here at Monza this morning, in very different conditions to those seen yesterday.
After setting the pole position time for Race 1 Yvan Muller (2:19.541) had to settle for only the fourth quickest time in warm-up.
The forecast heavy rain had arrived overnight and so a soaking wet track greeted the drivers as they headed out for the session. The two chicanes caught out several drivers.
The reigning World Champion Robert Huff – who yesterday had missed the qualifying session after a collision on the very first lap – this morning set the equal second fastest time in warm-up with Pepe Oriola (2:19.254) and so the conditions seem to suit the English driver and the SEAT cars.
The rain is set to continue for the rest of the day, so the two ten-lap races should provide plenty of excitement. The first is due to start at 15.05 CET, with Race 2 scheduled for 17.20.
