Monteiro: We arrived in Moscow (...)

On June 8th and 9th, Russia will host a round of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, WTCC for the first time in its history. Located 80km from the Russian capital, Moscow Raceway was inaugurated in 2012. For most drivers, including Tiago Monteiro, the appointment in Moscow will be a first but the Portuguese driver has always enjoyed new challenges and is looking forward to driving his Honda Civic on a circuit composed of fast straights and highly technical sectors.

It may be a new country and a new circuit but Tiago Monteiro has the same motivation: "From what I’ve seen, this is a technical circuit that could suit the characteristics of our car. However, the added 40kg of ballast will not make our lives easy. Driving the Honda Civic, everything is new, so it is a continuous discovery. Our main concern will be to continue the car’s development and adjust to the circuit in the best possible way."

"We arrived in Moscow without any data on the ideal set-up that should be used so we will use most of free practice to set the car up so that we can get the best out of it qualifying and the race. It is important to score points on a regular basis and this will be our main focus for the weekend," concluded Tiago Monteiro.
