Menu tested for chevrolet in Pembrey
"Only a couple of hours of dry track"
The Chevrolet team spent two further days of testing in Pembrey, on Wednesday and Thursday, with Alain Menu at the wheel of the Cruze.
The Swiss driver completed the two-day session without any major trouble, though the rainy weather forced the team to re-think their working programme.
“We only had a couple of hours of dry track, but it was a very useful test anyway, as we revisited some of the set-ups for wet conditions and worked on things like differential and bars. We started the session with the set-up used by Rob (Huff) and Yvan (Muller) in Curitiba’s Race 1 and that was very useful for me to understand why they were so quick in the wet there. I think we now have a lot of data for wet conditions. It was maybe not what we were looking for when we arrived to Pembrey, but it is something that will definitely be useful during the season, especially in Okayama!” Menu commented.
