Macau, Warm-up - Huff tops a red-flagged session
Muller missed most of the session in the pits
Rob Huff set the fastest lap in a warn up session that was cut short by a couple of minutes after Aleksei Dudukalo and Philip Ma had a crash at the infamous Paiol turn.
The Russian driver hit the wall and spun in the middle of the track, where Ma could not manage to avoid hitting him. Both drivers were unscathed and apparently their cars did not suffer from serious damage.
Huff posted a fastest lap of 2:31.081, beating Alain Menu’s 2:31.563. Yokohama Trophy competitors Norbert Michelisz (2:33.957) and Mehdi Bennani (2:34.027) were classified third and fourth respectively.
Yvan Muller missed most of the session in the pits, while the team were working to solve a trivial technical issue. When the Frenchman was finally able to join, his attempt to post a lap time was frustrated by the red flag.
