Lopez happy with first test
"It was a good first experience"
On his first outing in a WTCC car, local hero ‘Pechito’ López was enough impressive. The driver from Córdoba posted the eleventh fastest lap in today’s test session at the wheel of his Wiechers-Sport BMW.
“It was a good first experience,” he said. “I tried to adapt myself as quick as possible and I was able to run without problems and with no big mistakes. We have been quite competitive, and I’m happy. The impression of the car was a bit different from what I expected. It’s a nice car to drive, but you must be very clean and smooth in driving it."
"It will take a little bit more to me for being fully used to it. But I felt already quite comfortable. I knew about the power, about 100 bhp less than the Super TC2000 cars. I thought I could get more from the tyres, but of course I need to know how to use them.”
