LADA tests to be best in the WTCC
"This weekend we are just slow"
LADA Sport Rosneft is planning an extensive test programme during the summer break as it bids for more FIA World Touring Car Championship success.
The Russian make is enjoying its best season yet in the WTCC having taken two wins and six podiums to date. But following a tough trip to Vila Real for WTCC Race of Portugal last month, LADA wants more performance from its fleet of works Vesta TC1s.
“This weekend we are just slow but we are planning a lot of testing during the break between this event and Argentina,” said Team Principal Victor Shapovalov in Portugal.
LADA is running at its Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours technical base in France this week. The WTCC resumes in Argentina from 5-7 August.
