Kopecký maintains advantage

Jan Kopecký will take a slender lead of 11.8s into the midday service halt on the final leg of Rally Islas Canarias.

The Czech was quickest through the 9.11-kilometre Aguimes stage in his works Škoda Fabia Super 2000, sixth tenths of a second faster than team-mate Juho Hänninen who trails him in the overall standings.

Kris Meeke, the defending Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion, was third fastest through the stage but has been unable to make significant inroads into fourth-placed Bruno Magalhães, who is driving a similar Peugeot 207 and holds fourth overall behind Guy Wilks.
