José María López says there will be plenty of overtaking when the FIA World Touring Car Championship stops off in his native Argentina later this week.
Citroën’s two-time WTCC champion reckons the layout of the Termas de Río Hondo track promotes passing moves aplenty. And he’s highlighted Turns 5 and 13 as providing good opportunities to make up places.
“It’s perfectly suited to the WTCC,” said López. “It’s a circuit where you can find your lines. It’s very wide, there are multiple overtaking opportunities and the races should be lively. Braking deep into Turn 5 and Turn 13 are both good places for overtaking.”
López is a four-time winner of WTCC Race of Argentina.
