Isaac Tutumlu joins Bennani at Proteam

Isaac Tutumlu is the driver chosen by Proteam Racing to team with Mehdi Bennani in the 2012 WTCC season.

Tutumlu, a 27-year old Spaniard of Kurdish origins has built his racing experience in the MitJet series, the Catalunya Touring Car Championship and, more recently, in Porsche Supercup and Superstars.

"I’m excited, as WTCC is a championship I have been following for many years and where I have always wanted to race. I want to thank Proteam for giving me the opportunity to race with them and with such an important brand like BMW. I do not have specific expectations since it is my first time racing in the series and with this car. Most of the tracks, except Monza, Valencia and Hungaroring, are new to me, and this will also make the experience more challenging. I hope to help Proteam to achieve the best results possible,” Tutumlu said.
