Honda teams join forces for ETCC and WTCC
Hartmann Racing and Engström Motorsport now linked
The two most successfull Honda teams in touring car racing from Scandinavia - Denmark-based Hartmann Racing and Sweden’s Engström Motorsport - have joined forces for the 2010 FIA European Touring Car Cup.
"We know each other very well from the last three years, as both teams have taken part in the European Touring Car Cup, which we won last year. We have been discussing ways of co-operating and now it is a reality," team owner Hans Hartmann of Hartmann Racing said.
"I am looking forward to working with Hans and the guys from his team, as they have given a good impression of themselves, when we have been fighting in the European finals over the last three seasons," Tomas Engström said.
The Swede will be at the wheel of one of the team’s two Honda Accord cars alongside the reigning European Touring Car Champion James Thompson in the three events of the FIA ETCC and also in selected events of the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
