Honda team complete Spanish test
More than 300 laps for Tarquini and Monteiro
The Honda Racing Team JAS completed their three-day testing at the Aragón Motorland circuit in Spain.
On Tuesday and Wednesday the weather was bright, but with strong wind. Gabriele Tarquini completed 154 laps over the two days while continuing working on the qualifying and race set up of the Honda Civic WTCC in 2013 specifications. Meanwhile, his team-mate Tiago Monteiro kept on focusing on the engine mapping and tested a new steering box; he completed 152 laps over the two days.
“We are quite happy, because both cars managed to go through the whole testing programme without any technical problem, completing more than 2200 kilometres. We are satisfied with the improvements and the information we have collected during these three days,” said team principal Alessandro Mariani.
