So, with a win in Abu Dhabi’s feature race, your weekend went pretty well then?

Turvey: Yeah, it was a great weekend. It was fantastic to get a feature race win. For the first weekend of the GP2 Asia Series, we missed the three-day test beforehand, so it really put us on the back foot before we got there. So, as it turned out, the first weekend was just about learning the car and the track, but this weekend in Abu Dhabi, we were able to put that into practice. We started the weekend in a much better position, and I felt much more confident.

Do you still have time to catch your teammate Davide Valsecchi in the standings, or is he getting away?

Turvey: No, I think he is definitely catchable. He has gat a big lead at the moment, but it’s not over until it’s over. I’ll definitely try to catch him down. I’m very strong at the minute, and I’m hoping to keep it that way at the next race in Bahrain.

How well do you think the GP2 Asia Series will set you up for the main series later this year?

Turvey: Obviously, I see it as a good way of getting a lot of confidence going into the main series. Getting a win in Asia was great, and I want to get a win in the main series as early as possible. We should be in a good position – in testing at the end of last year, we went really well in the second generation car. We will have to wait until the pre-season tests, but I’m pretty confident that we can carry out our current form into the European Series.
