First WTCC taste for Esteban Guerrieri
He has a great feeling
Esteban Guerrieri sampled a TC1 World Touring Car for the first time in shakedown at FIA WTCC Race of Argentina – and relished the experience.
The ace Argentine is making his WTCC debut at Termas de Río Hondo this weekend in a Campos Racing Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1. He said: “It was only a few laps but they were enough to have a great feeling to be honest. I was impressed with the speed in the corner and the front grip, which is what you want in a front-wheel touring car. I had a very nice impression.”
Shakedown took place behind the Volvo V60 Polestar safety car, which meant speeds were limited. “We were only bedding in brake pads so I wasn’t really pushing,” Guerrieri continued. “The first feeling was nice, also with the turbo engine. It was totally different to what I am used to. It’s something I wanted to feel today and tomorrow I want to start the day pushing flat out now.”
