FIA World Motor Sport Council approves WTCC calendar tweaks
The full calendar for 2016
The FIA World Touring Car Championship calendar for 2016 is set after the FIA World Motor Sport Council approved the recent schedule tweaks implemented to accommodate the late inclusion of Russia on the list of dates for the upcoming season.
Following the WMSC’s meeting in Geneva, Switzerland today, this statement was issued:
“The World Motor Sport Council confirmed the move of the Russian round of the 2016 FIA World Touring Car Championship, from Sochi on 20 March to Moscow Raceway on 12 June. The event at Vila Real in Portugal (featuring both WTCC and ETCC) has been moved from 12 June to 26 June to accommodate the change.”
