Engstler et Ng to team up again in 2013
With Liqui Moly Team Engstler
Germany-based Liqui Moly Team Engstler confirmed their two-car line up for the 2013 season of the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
Team owner Franz Engstler and Hong Kong racer Charles Ng Ka Ki will team up again at the wheel of the squad’s two BMW 320 TC cars.
In the 2012 WTCC Engstler was classified 12th in the Drivers’ Championship, his best result being a fifth place at Valencia, and finished fourth in the Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy. Ng ranked 25th in the Championship, claiming his only point by finishing tenth at Shanghai, and 16th in the Trophy.
“We are confident that they both will be able to improve their results. Franz is an experienced driver who even managed to claim a WTCC outright victory two years ago at Oschersleben, while Charles has got to know the championship serving his apprenticeship during his first full season in WTCC. We are very grateful to Liqui Moly for confirming their support and confidence in our outfit,” team manager Kurt Treml said.
