Demoustier thanks Craft-Bamboo Racing
Prior to Loeb WTCC team switch
Grégoire Demoustier thanked his former team Craft-Bamboo Racing prior to announcing his move to the squad’s FIA World Touring Car Championship rival Sébastien Loeb Racing.
Demoustier contested all 24 races with the UK-based Craft-Bamboo outfit in this year’s WTCC, scoring one Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy podium and a season-high ninth place in Thailand.
Following the season-closing WTCC night races in Qatar, Demoustier said: “I would like to say thank you to everyone in Craft-Bamboo. It was not the easiest first year for me but I learned a lot and the team helped me in every way possible to ease my transition to touring cars. We had some frustrating moments but we also had great moments and I am really happy that we got to work together.”
Demoustier’s former team boss Richard Coleman, the CEO of Craft-Bamboo Racing, said: “Grégoire had a big first season in touring cars and he has done a good job up against the world’s best. It was a steep learning curve, with the car and with almost every circuit being a new challenge but both Greg and the team stepped up and did their best.”
