Czech trio to contest Cyprus double-head

A trio of drivers from Czech Republic will contest the FxPro Cyprus Rally from 4-6 November – and will remain on the island for the inaugural Love Cyprus Golden Stage Rally, which takes place the following day.

Martin Prokop and Jaromir Tarabus will drive a pair of M-Sport Ford Fiesta Super 2000s for Prokop’s family team on the Intercontinental Rally Challenge finale. Countryman Roman Kresta will appear in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX.

All three are regulars on Barum Czech Rally Zlín, their home round of the IRC, while Prokop and Kresta both have prior experience of competing in Cyprus.

Prokop won the Junior World Rally Championship section of the mixed-surface Cyprus in 2009. Kresta (pictured), a former factory driver in the world championship, finished sixth overall on his last visit to Cypus in 2005 aboard a Focus WRC.
