Coronel wants to be back with ROAL in 2017
They’re trying to seal a deal
Tom Coronel is already working on plans to extend his stay at ROAL Motorsport following his race-winning FIA World Touring Car Championship season.
Coronel was a double winner for Roberto Ravaglia’s team in 2016, triumphing on the streets of Marrakech and Vila Real. He wants to continue his partnership with the Italian squad into next year’s WTCC.
Following WTCC DHL Race of Qatar, where Coronel took a fourth and second in the WTCC Trophy division, the Dutchman said: “The first talks with Roberto have already taken place. It is our mutual intention to continue the co-operation, that already has been going on for six years now, in 2017 as well. Together, we are a very closely-knit team, even more tight than a family, and it’s really a special feeling when I win with them and when I race with them. I will do my utmost to ensure that we will be back on the grid together for the WTCC next year.”
