Coronel: bring on WTCC 2016
"This season hasn’t been one of my best"
Tom Coronel wants to continue racing in the FIA World Touring Car Championship in 2016 when he will pass 250 starts.
Coronel finished P13 in the final 2015 WTCC standings and sixth in the Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy following an indifferent campaign in his ROAL Motorsport Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1.
“It is up to me to get things in place for 2016,” said Coronel. “I want to race in the WTCC again, because I am a genuine WTCC driver. This season hasn’t been one of my best, although I regularly finished in the top 10. I can do better, though. I know that and I want to prove it. Prior to the season, I had predicted two to three podium finishes, but I only managed to do it once by finishing second in Hungary.”
