Chevrolet tops manufacturers’ statistics
With 32 races won out of the last 38
With the World Championship enjoying a break before resuming in Brazil on 22 July, there is the time to take a look at the series’ statistics.
With 32 races won out of the last 38, Chevrolet ousted BMW from the being the most winning brand in WTCC. Chevrolet’s tally totals now to 59 victories, against BMW’s 56. SEAT lies in third place with 40. Two other manufacturers succeeded in claiming WTCC race wins: Alfa Romeo (14) and Honda (1).
Chevrolet also tops the pole position list with 30, followed by SEAT (26) and BMW (20).
BMW leads in fastest laps (62) and number of laps led (787), but Chevrolet is closing the gaps (52 fastest laps and 704 laps led respectively).
