Chevrolet test at Valencia once again
With Muller and Huff
The Chevrolet team returned to Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo for another test session in preparation of the new season.
Reigning champion Yvan Muller and vice-champion Rob Huff are sharing driving duties in the two-day test, while their team-mate Alain Menu, who tested in Valencia a few weeks ago, is working with the engineers. The tests take place yesterday and today.
The RML team aim for validating the 2012 Cruze configuration and specs; the two Cruze cars are also sporting the livery they will use in the new season, a design characterized by a more prominent presence of the blue color.
A third Cruze is also involved in the test: Rickard Rydell’s car run by the Nika Racing.
Yvan Muller said: “It’s nice to be at the wheel of a race car again and I’m happy we have good track conditions. Yesterday was mostly a day for the engineers as they wanted us to test and compare a number of things. I am anxious to get back to racing soon.”
Rob Huff added: “I think that by this evening we will have covered considerable mileage, and this is exactly what drivers need and engineers want at this time of the year. Although there aren’t striking differences between this year’s and last year’s cars, the team has been working a lot during the winter and the Cruze feels very good to drive.”
