Carlos Bueno faces his WTCC debut
"Brands Hatch is a very difficult racetrack"
Brazilian Touring Car star Carlos “Cacá” Bueno is facing his maiden appearance in the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
“I am really excited. In my career I have driven all kinds of touring cars: Stock Cars, Supertouring, TC2000, but never a WTCC,” he said.
“This is my first time in England and Brands Hatch is a very difficult racetrack. And on top of this I know that the level of the championship is extremely high. I am really grateful to Chevrolet for offering me this great opportunity.”
Bueno – three times a winner in the popular Brazilian Stock Car Championship – is driving for Chevrolet alongside Alain Menu, Yvan Muller and Rob Huff.
“I have met Alain as a competitor, when we both raced at the 200 km of Buenos Aires in the latest years. In 2009 we had a great fight on third position that eventually I managed to win. I’m sure that he will be happy to help me with good advises as well as Yvan and Rob. I can’t wait to start driving and I will do my best to achieve some good results for the team.”
