Campos with Karamyshev and Soong
The Russian driver returns to the team
Spanish outfit Campos Racing confirmed that all their three SEAT León cars will take part in the WTCC final race meeting this weekend at Macau.
Nikolay Karamyshev and Michael Soong will join team’s regular Hugo Valente for the two races on the Guia street circuit.
The Russian driver returns to the team after his two previous WTCC appearances at Moscow Raceway and Porto Boavista in which he proved extremely consistent, scoring points for the Yokohama Trophy in three races out of four. During the season Karamyshev has also taken part in the FIA European Touring Car Cup and was classified fourth in the Single-Make Trophy.
Soong, from Hong Kong, will replace Fernando Monje; although he faces his WTCC debut, the 33-year old driver has built himself a solid touring car experience winning races in the Hong Kong and the China championships. In the current season he took part in the China Touring Car championship at the wheel of a Kia K2 and ranked twelfth in the Super Production class.
